Coming in at number five is Tmac, Tracy McGrady! Although McGrady didn’t have the most stellar and all-around career, his prime was mesmerizing. From 2000 to 2006 he averaged 27 points which is one of the greatest five-year spans in NBA history. During one of those years (2002-03), he averaged 32.1 points per game, which again is very impressive. You might be wondering, what happened the rest of Tmac’s career? Well other than injuries, he peaked pretty hard. When he was playing, he was playing as a former shell of himself.

Coming in at number four is Dwanye Wade. In just his third season, Dwanye Wade led his team to an NBA championship while being the best player on that same team (at age 24). Also, don’t get me started when Lebron joined the Heat. For the first time in his career, Lebron James, the greatest small forward in history, wasn’t the clear-cut best player on his team. Many believe that Wade was an even better player than Lebron during those few years they were teammates. 

Coming in at number three is James Harden. Harden’s career is far from over, yet I think everyone knows he’s past his prime. When focused, Harden is the greatest scorer of all time. If he wanted to, Harden could average 40 points per game every season, but he loves food a bit too much to do that. 

Coming in at number two is the late Kobe Bryant. Kobe didn’t have the natural athleticism of Lebron James, nor did he have the size of Shaq, but he did have the greatest work ethic ever seen, athlete or non-athlete. If you think Tracy McGrady’s five-year stretch was impressive, just wait until you hear about Kobes ten-year stretch! He averaged 28.5 points per game over a decade, which is more than Lebron, Kevin Durant, Karl Malone, Larry Bird, etc. Kobes career was truly unforgettable and forged the careers of future and current NBA stars. 

Coming in at number one THE goat, Michael Jordan. Over Jordan’s entire career, he averaged an absurd 30.1 points per game playing in the toughest defensive era in NBA history. There is a lot I can say about Jordan but I will leave it like this, Michael Jordan is by far, the greatest basketball player ever to touch a basketball court.
