Ranking the Sun’s Lineup!

16-6 Best Player on the Suns!

Coming in at 16 is Ishmail Wainright. Ishmail has barely played in any games this season which shows in his stats. Number 15 is Chandler Hutchison, and he is in the situation as Ishmail because he does not play much either. Number 14 is Jalen Smith. Smith has the potential in becoming a good role player but I don’t think he fits with the Sun’s play style. Number 13 is Elfrid Payton. Payton peaked early on in his career when he was with the Magic because of the number of minutes he was getting; since he’s not getting those same minutes, he isn’t playing as well. Number 12 is Abdel Nadar. Nadar definitely improved his play this season showing that he is an asset for the suns, not a liability. Number 11 is Dario Saric. If you did not know already, I am not high on Dario Saric. His sluggish, low-effort play on a consistent basis makes me want him not to be a part of my favorite organization. Breaking in our top ten, Frank Kaminsky. Frank has flashes of elite-level play and when he doesn’t he’s still a solid player. Coming slightly ahead of Kaminsky in our number nine spot, Javale Mcgee. The reason I put Mcgee in front of Kaminsky is that he is much more athletic, and plays slightly better on a regular basis. Number 8 is Landry Shamet. Shamet is a fantastic sharpshooter and at just 24 years old shows that he will either be a long-time player for the Suns or a valuable trade item. Number 7 is Cam Payne. Payne went from G League player to starter caliber player in what seems like a blink of an eye. Number 6 is Jae Crowder. Crowder is a valuable veteran who is an offensive and defensive threat.

Top 5 Best Players on the Suns!

Breaking into our top 5 is Cam Johnson. Johnson came into the league with a chip on his shoulder because all of the media told him he was a wasted pick, and he has proven them wrong 100 times over. Coming in at number 4 is Mikal Bridges. Mikal’s defense has been the backbone of the team, and I believe without Bridge’s help on the defensive end the Suns would not have had the same post-season success they had last year. Breaking into our top 3 is Deandre Ayton. I’m not the biggest fan of Ayton because he purely relies on his natural athleticism and does not have the desire to improve his game. Coming in at number 2 is one of the best to play the game of basketball, Chris Paul. Although Paul is getting up there in age, he has aged like fine wine and seems to still be in or at least near his prime. Finally, coming in in our number 1 spot, Devin Booker. There is not much needed to say here, because with his Kobe offense and his greatly improved defense, Booker solidified himself as one of the best in the league.
