Suns Versus Bucks, NBA Finals
Wow, if you told me a season ago that the Suns and the Bucks would be in the NBA finals this year, I would laugh at you; now here we are. The Sun’s resilient defense and unpredictable offense actually got them to be an NBA title favorite, and the Bucks top heavy roster and consistency has proven both teams to be the best in the NBA.
During this blog I will go through both teams’ chances of winning this year’s NBA championship, now let’s start with the Bucks.
As I’ve said in many blogs before this, the Bucks have a top heavy roster. When the big three of Giannis, Middleton, and Holiday are not on the floor, things tend to not go so well. As for the defensive side, the Bucks are not looking good. The only tenacious defender so far in the playoffs for the Bucks has been PJ Tucker, and the Suns just got threw with Patrick Beverly so he should be quick work.
Jrue Holiday will most likely be guarding Devin Booker, and if Devin Booker plays to the best of his ability, Jrue Holiday is no problem. Just watching the Hawks, Bucks series one player stands out for being bad at defense, and that is Pat Connaughton. Dont get me wrong, Connaughton is an excellent offensive piece, but if the Bucks want a chance in these finals they need to put their best defenders out there.
Now the key for the Suns winning this finals is the opposite of the Bucks problem, its their offense.
The Suns defense is going to be there regardless, but the games the Suns lost in the playoffs so far is because of their lackluster offense. Devin Booker needs to come prepared, because besides game 1 he was not playing like himself. He was missing easy shots, scoring barely any points, and being an easy body to guard. If Booker comes to play, this will be a swift series.
My prediction for the 2020-21 finals is Suns in 5, maybe six games.
