What is the Otherside?

Bored Ape Yacht Club’s latest venture, the Otherside, is a push into metaverse real estate. On march 16th of 2022, Bored Ape Yacht Club released its very hyped cryptocurrency, Ape Coin. Not too soon after, a Twitter account for the Otherside and a discord group called the Otherside were created with a trailer seen below.

As seen in the video, this was an announcement that Bored Ape is releasing metaverse land and in the description of the video, Bored Ape says “powered by Ape Coin”, which in reality means you can only buy the land with Ape Coin. Also, you can see little creatures periodically in the video which will be my topic in my next blog.

As of today, May 1st, the Otherside just released the land and it is going for crazy prices on the secondary market. The current floor price is 6.3 Ethereum ($17,399.38) which in the long run will be a steal of a price.
